The Wing Luke Museum in Seattle, similar to other museums, was forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic. In collaboration with Wing Luke Museum staff, we designed a potential solution to the absence of visitors during the pandemic by building the framework to create remote museum content. The WLM Virtual exhibits is a project proposal for an online exhibit builder tool that allows users to use digital copies of real museum artifacts from the Wing Luke collection as parts of their exhibit builds. Users would be able to create unique original exhibits that are shareable and viewable by other users through virtual tickets that contain a QR code and a link.The virtual museum is an experience designed unique to the Wing Luke, creating current, past and prospective visitors an opportunity to connect with the museum, even outside of the museum.
